   Bought this for my husband for Christmas. He has to cook a big turkey because he loves leftovers so I got him this one! He hasn’t had the opportunity to cook a turkey yet, but he did cook a chicken and it was so juicy. His last experiment was fried fish and OH MY GOSH…it was amazing! So crispy and locked in the flavor! Highly recommend!

   This fryer is awesome!!! My only complaint is the electric timer. When I saw that it needed batteries, I thought maybe it had electronic ignition. Not so much. You need 2 AAA batteries for a timer that obnoxiously shuts off the gas after a certain time has elapsed, which is never enough time to bring even 5 gallons of water to a boil. The quick solution is to zip tie the button down and do some cooking.

   Utter nightmare, late to arrive, got a refund, arrived the next day, have spent 2 weeks trying to get outdoorcooking.us.com to pay seller. Doesn’t seem possible. Getting emailed by seller a lot.
   Supplied Gar regulator doesn’t fit uk gas bottles.tried changing regulator and can’t get enough pressure.
   Realised the price of peanut oil after I had bought it .
   Just a pain and not worth it .

   This item sorely underperformed at a crucially important catering moment. The auto shut-off mechanism was a pain to babysit and press a button every 10+ minutes 😕. It took FOREVER for the fryers to reach temp. then after lowering turkeys they stayed at least 100 degrees below temp. I started with one “good old fashioned” fryer and these two super new special fryers expecting to finish quicker frying 15 turkeys for a major client. I ended up pulling turkeys from the two specials and had to do ALL of my frying in ONE “good old fashion” fryer that only costed $70 from Sam’s club. Disappointing and a tremendous let down👎🏾

   This is a nice unit. I really wish the pot would come with a drain valve though because emptying it is a bit of a chore and can b quite messy. And I find that the burn on this unit could probly be a bit hirer but output as wen I did my Turkey it took a very long time heat up and it did not maintain temp as well as it should

   This should hopefully fit the bill for a long time to come. The pot is Stainless and that is a major consideration. I have bought, in the past many of the aluminum ones that I am lucky to get a year from before they start leaking. The reason for 4 stars instead of 5? The damn 15 minute timer. NOPE, You are lucky to get your grease hot in that length of time. There are ways around it. U tube it. Other than that it seems like a great piece of equipment that is easy to assemble and looks really nice to boot.
