   Up until now, my fire pit tools consisted of a 3 foot steel rod. I could usually get things moved around with a little luck and ingenuity, but that was it. For me, this is a game changer. I can now move around hot coals and logs with ease and safety in mind. These are heavy duty tongs made from stainless steel so they should last a long time. Those sharp teeth on the end really let you get a strong grip on the log. They also include a poker to give you another option to move things around in the fire pit. Lastly, it comes in a nice storage bag. Overall, this is a great fire pit set for the price. It’s definitely made my life easier and safer. Definitely recommended. My rating method: 1 star – terrible. I wouldn’t consider buying it. 2 stars – marginal at best. Doesn’t meet the minimum requirements or quality to be useful. Buy it at your own risk. 3 stars – average. Meets the quality and requirements for a product of this type but is nothing out of the ordinary. If the price is good, I’d probably buy it. 4 stars – better than average. Exceeds the typical quality of a product of this type and has a few extra features not usually found on other products of this type. I’d buy it. 5 stars – exceptional – far exceeds the quality of products of this type. Hard to beat the quality and features included. Best value for the money. I wouldn’t hesitate to buy it.

   They are long as depicted in the picture. It has some weight to it, which usually indicts durability, but time will tell. The pouch is nice if using for camping and to pack and not get other things dirty with the soot. I like the length, so that I do not have to feel like I have to get close to the fire and feel the heat in my face.

   Nice and big. Perfect for our cabin firepit. Constructions seems solid. Poker is a little thin and might bend if trying to move large logs, but otherwise it will work well. Comes with nice carrying case.

   These fire tongs are excellent. I have a rather large fire pit that I use, and I used to kick the logs around with my foot or use another piece of wood to move things around. As I’m sure you can understand, I got burned, and some of my shoes melted a bit. These Tongs help so much. They’re easy to hold, grip the logs pretty well, and have a long enough reach so that even in my large fire pit, I don’t have to worry about getting burned.
   Another thing that I like about this product, which someone may think is trivial, is the case. Putting these tongs into a fire, laying them on the ground, and overall usage gets them pretty dirty and sooty. Having a nice carrying case really makes a difference in helping keep that dirt and soot away from your clothes, even if you are bringing the tongs inside after your fire. This is an excellent product for a great price.

   First fire of the season and this tool came in handy. We were able to adjust the wood in our bonfire that was away from the center and add logs without burning ourselves. These tongs will get good use for fires and I’m sure we’ll come up with other uses over time!

   During the winter months we live by the firepit on the weekends, and the fire needs a lot of tending. The tongs I have previously used (purchased at a big box store) are just too short and getting deep into the fire is difficult after the coals really get going, often resulting in some singeing of the hands. These grizzly grabbers are going to make hot hands a thing of the past – you can see in the picture how much longer they are than my normal tongs, and the heavy duty frame is built to last. It’s still too hot for firepit season, but I tested this on my woodpile to see how easy it was to manipulate and move wood pieces … these things are just plain awesome, and open wide enough to grab even the thickest chunk of firewood. The set includes a fire poker – also longer than the typical poker that comes in most fireplace sets (as seen in the picture) – and a carry bag. The handle on the poker is coated in some sticky substance, so I’m going to have to clean that before I can really use it. I ordered this set for the grabber, not for the poker, so my rating is primarily based on my observations of the grabber. The bag will be helpful on car camping trips, and I expect to get some mileage from this set as soon as the temps drop enough to fire up the ol’ pit.
