   Have a smoker and portable weber which I have had for 2 years and never used as the heat is too fierce. With those grills I have cooked butterflied lamb, spatchcock chicken and steaks. Use one bag of ready to light coal and 5 on 6 weber briquettes. A lot cheaper than the big smoker that is only used now for larger gatherings. Has transformed the small weber completely

   If you have been looking to get consistent grill marks like these….this is it…I’ve read other reviews that others have posted…they never read the instructions…It clearly states, you need to season them before use ☝️🤓 ..These are the cats meow….not even kidding…I bought this particular set because I only need a small area for what we grill, but…these are for the Weber 18-1/2″ kettle grill and plenty big enough for my needs..and use them on my 22″ Weber kettle, my bigass grill, my smaller smokey Joe as well…When you use these, you only need to use about a half chimney amount of coals, and spread them out so the hot coals cover the same dimensions of the GrillGrates…if you do it cold before you light the coals, this will help to determine how much or how many briquettes to use…the trick is to get the surface temp of the grates up to 500°F…a wireless non contact type of thermometer works the best for this… they’re inexpensive and indispensable…The pork steaks you see in my pictures, are about an inch or so thick…I laid them out so they point in the 2 o’clock position, press them down for the 1st 15 seconds…set your timer for 2 min, after the 2 min, rotate to the left to the 10 o’clock position, and press down again for a few seconds, set the timer for 2 min….after that flip them over and repeat….these were done to med rare when they were pulled and wrapped, and they finished to a safe med rare…you can see the results I got…same with boneless skinless chicken thighs…but always check your internal temps with a fast read instant thermometer…again, you can find those here on outdoorcooking.us.com, this Instant read thermometer is a necessary tool to have if you cook on the grill…and as far as the GrillGrates…get them, you will not be disappointed…just read the user guide and watch a few YT videos…it doesnt get any easier than this…oh, as far as the ones who got a warped set…yeah, i doubt that..GrillGrates will replace them in a flash..and the ones who claim they warped them, yeah…they had their temps WAY above the 700°F limit and I’m certain GrillGrates suggests you stay away from that range… again…they didn’t read the user guide…have fun, enjoy being the envy

   Bought this for my GA. The fit and finish is excellent, and the sear marks it creates are incredible. It also keeps the flare-ups at bay so your food isn’t torched. Light, and easy to store, clean, and use. It’s also great that there are 3 separate connecting panels. This way you can cover the total cooking surface, or use just one or two panels over the fire and keep the other end of the bbq as a cool zone on the regular cooking grate. Highly recommended.
