This is a really sturdy basket. I love using it on vegetables and some meats. Fries, whole mushrooms, sliced zucchini and even whole potatoes are wonderful when cooked in this rotisserie designed for a Weber grill. It is a great addition to my cooking repertoire.

I’m a wear a belt and suspenders kind of guy. When I received the basket my only concern was the closing mechanism. I could envision it coming open during the cooking process and scattering food all over the grill.
Just to be safe I rigged it up with an 8mm wide S/S hose clamp on each end where the spit goes through the basket. This locks the two basket halves together securely when you tighten the spit set screws, no problem.

Had to bend it to easily open and close it. Cooking with it was awesome. Just had to learn a few new tricks. It’s not plug and play folks. On a gas grill add water pans to offset propane’s drying effect.

I used this for the first time this weekend love it but unfortunately the latch came open th fully I had a pan underneath. All the veggies went flying. Any advice on how to keep this closed? Zip tie??
