   Watched some videos on youtube of how to properly season one of these and it works great. Use it on my bbq to cook smash burgers, and it is amazing.

   Got this at Christmas and we’ve used it many days since. I do agree it could be buffed more around the edges to ease those and the corners some since they do tend to be a bit sharp (although one could do that oneself if it really bothers one 🙂 ). But it is very easy to clean which was the main issue I have with my grill which is a pain to clean and only cooks well when it is clean. So we decided to try this griddle top. It fits just right on my grill (but please measure yours – the size given for this top is accurate), and it is not warping since the burners on my grill are lower and not blasting the griddle directly. A few minutes with a scrubby sponge or brillo pad in a utility sink and it’s clean enough for the next cook – you will never get it shiny new again esp around the edges and corners, but hey, it’s a griddle not a chrome bumper. We have cooked many smash burgers, bacon, chicken tenders and pancakes since getting this piece and everything has come out great. Since it is a thin sheet of stainless steel and not a thick slab of cast iron like on a blackstone or other flat-top, it does not hold vast amounts of heat so searing meat is not really as possible to do with this griddle but everything does cook fine and cleanup is quick and simple. I will undoubtedly do a lot more cooking with this top than with the original grill components. Definitely recommend.

   It’s kinda big and bulky and hard to clean in a conventional size sink. Not saying it’s junk… but just something I wish I wouldn’t have bought it… as it just takes up space on the ground next to my grill. Looking trashy. Lol

   Just got this today for a grill I was sick of buying replacement grates for, the size almost fit perfect. I washed it first then heated it in steps… 1/4-1/2-3/4 then full I then added avocado oil (can use anything with high smoke point) let it sit on it then moved around for a while with a spatula. Once I felt content I took a dry wash cloth and kind of “polished” the griddle while soaking up the oil. I’ve seasoned cast iron but never steel so this was just a learning experience that seemed to work well. I had no warping and yes it’s gonna stain it’s just the nature of the beast. Time will tell but I feel as though I’m going to be just as happy down the road as I am now with the purchase. The griddle felt to me like it was built well enough and does come with handles but mine is going to be staying where it’s at so I didn’t attach them. The biggest con that I see is that the grease tray is not removable. I was thinking about drilling holes in it and allowing it to drip in the pan for the grill, but decided I’m going to leave it as is because I have a spatula that fits perfectly in the tray and will just remove after it solidifies. UPDATE: I’ve used this a bunch of times since buying it and it’s still great with no warping, house still doesn’t stink like bacon, and only thing I’ve had stick was fried rice but to be fair we think my wife cooked the rice wrong.
