   after comparing lots of fire anchor type setups i found this one and decided to order. when i opened the package i was very pleased to find how beefy the steel rod that goes into the ground is. not much worry about bending it i assure you! all the other parts seem well put together, can’t wait to put them to the test.

   Comes with a carry bag and can be powered 3 ways. Alligator clips to 12V battery such as car, 2 D batteries, or 110V adapter. Shaft runs on 2 sets of rollers. Stake is for driving in the ground by a campfire. Is ¾” thick and heavy. Not tall enough for a standard kettle. I vise gripped it to a bench to use on kettle for testing. Basket is nice, but rod runs thru center and might interfere with some foods. Ran for a couple hours on D battery with plenty left to spare. Great unit for campfire. Would support a chicken fine, might have to stake a rope to add support if cooking more than a few ponds. Unsure on weight limit. I’d guess about 10# max.

    This thing is so freaking awesome. You can cook fish on an open fire while you’re fishing. I cooked a chicken on it and it was so freaking juicy and full of flavor. Thinking about buying a couple more and set up at home to cook my meat.
