   Don’t put in dishwasher. The copper comes off the hook and it turns grey. The hanging hooks are loose when they arrive as well so you have to give them a bit of a pinch to tighten them up. Other than that, it’s a perfect set. My recommendation is to buy the whole set instead of piecing it together. I bought one piece first to see what the quality was like and have since bought the rest. The only thing I don’t use is the silicone baster brush. I don’t do a lot of large meals, mostly single items like burgers and chicken so I don’t need a basting brush, I prefer a regular bbq sauce brush. It’s pretty useless for bbq sauce. It does wash out very easily though. Great product.

   Sturdy, rugged and long enough I don’t burn off an knuckle hair! I haven’t had it long enough to determine if the lacquer will last, but honestly I don’t really care. If it peels, I’ll likely sand it all down to bare wood and move on.

   Extra-long handles keep you further from the heat! These BBQ tools are sturdy, well-made and attractive. We have a very large grill for company BBQ events, and normal tools wouldn’t reach the back of the grill without having your arm hair singed. These tools solved that problem nicely.

    The weight and feel of this is great. I’ve had one of these for a few of years as part of a set. My only issue is the urethane finish that they use, which breaks down over the first year and flakes off, and it looks pretty bad after that.

    After the second year I just sanded down the remaining finish and refinished with Tung oil, which brought back most of the color, and holds up much better than the original finish.
