   This is a good looking light duty fireplace tool set. I thought the base would be heavy iron or thick steel, but it’s actually stamped steel, as is the frame. Still, it’s sturdy enough for occasional usage despite some sparse welds. I am a bit concerned about the base scratching my concrete floor, so I may modify it, but for what it cost, i’m OK with it. It was also packaged well so that it wouldn’t scratch itself in transit.

   I love this tool set. Each tool is solid cast iron – no threaded handles. My old set had threaded handles and the threads stripped and the handles fell off. That will not happen with this set. The tools are the right length for my wood stove. I can do what I need to in the stove without my hands getting too close to the heat and flames. I am very happy with my choice of this set.

   I’m really on the fence on returning this item. It looks nice, but the tag clearly states that it’s hazardous to your reproductive system and to wash your hands after touching it.

   This just came in today. It is perfect for us here in lower Alabama. We do not get many cold nights. It all feels strong and solid. I’m giving it a 4 star until I use it. The broom seems a little weak, but that is the only thing I would say negative about it. It came mostly assembled. All I had to do was put the base on the bottom. They even supplied a little tool to tighten it. 😀

Very pleased with this set, looks great and very durable, especially since they are one solid piece……no handles to come loose or fall off! I’ve used all of the tools with no problems, easy to grab and hang back up. I have no doubt that these will last a lifetime if taken care of properly. Great purchase with a reasonable price!

   I had purchased this as a gift for my husband. Unfortunately, when they ship it, they do not put in a box or anything. They just stick the sticker on the item. The box was beat up with holes in it and everything. He saw what his gift was, as he brought it into the house.
   We have yet to open the box to see what it’s like. I am so annoyed, now that I have to come up with a new gift, that they are only getting 3 stars.
