So, all the reviews stating that the metal is thin are absolutely true. In the pictures it looks like a thick stainless steel top that you can use and abuse. That is absolutely not the case. It is thin.
But, I am only using it to strap a commercial fan to it to suck pellet smoke out from under my patio and push it into the yard. The cheapness was the big selling point. I am not actively using the surface for various activities. I will say though, I have a tub with large bags of pellets on the bottom shelf and it has held up just fine.
So, is it some premium surface that can take abuse? No..
Is it good as a cheap cart to modify for a specific use? Absolutely
