I purchased this replacement grill for my 22” Weber despite some negative reviews that claimed the steel wasn’t thick enough. From the moment I took it out of the box I was happy with it. It’s PLENTY thick and I believe it’ll last a long, long time. I also like the grill pattern because it leaves cool marks on my steaks! This, paired with the Vortex (In) Direct Heat has made cooking steaks, pork steaks, wings, and ribs a lot of fun. Amazing concept and great grill! Don’t let the negative reviews scare you away. I’m glad I didn’t!

This grill grate was very nice except it was not deburred after the cutting process (laser or wire edm?). Every slot on the top and bottom were covered in heavy burrs. This is downright dangerous as these burrs can fall off and contaminate the food. I can’t believe someone would ship a food product inthat condition. Each slot is razor sharp as well. I returned mine but would gladly buy it again if the company would guarantee the burrs would be removed. Maybe mine missed that process? Anyway, another product that could have been a home run ruined by poor quality standards. Too bad.
