   Bought this for a homemade smoker and im glad I did! It has wire mesh inside that keeps the shape of the gasket. The adhesive is seriously sticky and wont come off if you prep the area first by cleaning with Acetone. Good purchase!

   Stuck to the barbecue, but came unglued from the mesh. It came pre-stuck to the mesh, but apparently did not do its job.

   When I opened the package it seemed to be great. And I really wanted this to work. The photos say it all. I prepped the surfaces to make sure to get a good bond, and I waited over a week before I fired up the grill. Within moments of opening the heated grill, the mesh started to separate from the tape (which did bond to the ceramic). The third time I lifted the lid it fell into the food. Avoid this like the plague!

   The package look oK. the thickness look the same, when open to try install the black 3m adhesive not stick all the way to the gasket. once measure and cut the correct size. Try to put the gasket. it will not stick to the kamado Joe nor it stick to gasket itself end up using high temperature silicon. it is a mess. It a waste 40 dollars plus time. if I can give a zero I would.
   Now have to wait and order straight from Kamado Joe.

   Read the instructions very carefully so I cleaned the surface very clean and applied the gasket per instructions. Everything seemed to be working and the gasket was holding. The next day I opened the lid and started using the grill the gasket started to fall off. I tried reattaching it but it was useless.

   This product is HORRIBLE!!!!!!!! The adhesive sticks to the grill well…. the problem is, the adhesive does not stick to the gasket. The very first cook was at 240 degree it fell apart after 5 minutes. With the gasket falling off. The grill jumped up to over 450 degrees. Dinner was ruined. I have received some pretty bad products, but this one takes the cake. I highly recommend buying something else.

    I also ordered the adhesive it is BBQ safe I used it on the top of the Kamado just to make sure the gasket stayed, So after I placed the new gasket grill works great no smoke leak
